Customer Service Representative

Overview:  

Customer Service Representative (“CSR”)/Administrative Assistant CSRs assigned to the call center are primarily responsible for receiving, scheduling and processing customer orders and managing other office and administrative tasks.  CSRs assigned to the retail store location are, in addition to the foregoing, responsible for greeting customers and processing customer payments.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Handle a high volume of incoming calls on a multi-line phone system
  • Provide price quotations to callers and customers
  • Take and schedule customer orders
  • Greet and process customer orders at retail store as needed
  • Coordinate scheduled service between customers, field technicians and delivery staff
  • Create work orders and invoices
  • Process customer payments
  • Create and submit purchase orders to vendors
  • Work with warehouse staff to ensure sufficient stock to fill customer orders
  • Data entry using Microsoft products, including Excel, Access, Word, industry-specific software and Quickbooks
  • Filing
  • Other general office duties in all aspects of office operations as needed and/or as may be assigned including but not limited to billing and occasional collections work on past due accounts.

Minimum Requirements 

(1) Ability to handle a high volume of calls on a multi-line telephone system in an extremely fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times;

(2) Ability to multi-task;

(3) High school graduate or equivalent with a strong command of the English language (fluency in Spanish a plus but not required); 

(4) Computer literacy and proficiency in a Windows environment; 

(5) Ability to type 40 wpm;

(6) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;

(7) Strong verbal communication skills;  

(8) Ability to learn computer software applications;

(9) Ability to work individually and as part of a group;

(10) Ability to take on and adapt to new challenges as they arise in an evolving business environment; and

(11) Punctuality and reliability.We are a small, locally owned, growing and evolving auto glass service provider looking for a customer service representative who can grow with us.
