Scenic Routes to Take In Greater Cleveland

Known as the Forest City, The Sixth City, and the Metropolis of the Western Reserve, the Greater Cleveland area is home to a variety of landscapes. From acres of forests, four different metropolitan cities, beautiful park spaces and beach fronts, it's easy to get lost on our region's windy roads and suburban boulevards. C Auto Glass, located in Greater Cleveland's most central city, Independence, is right in the middle of it all.

Working in the automobile industry, we know not only how to repair what's broken but also how to enhance any driving experience. Here's everything you need to know about bypassing your traditional commute and opting in to some of our area's most scenic routes.

From West to East:

Far West:

Want to get lost on the far west side, head to Lake Road in Avon Lake, catch a glimpse of the Avon River, and head east toward Rocky River. You'll drive the lake front properties of Lake Erie, and into some really dynamic cities. Keep driving and you'll reach Ohio's most densely populated city of Lakewood.

West:

Packed with energy, diversity, and character, drive the charming resedential neighborhood of Lakewood where you'll find some of the area's most charming century homes, local restaurants, and lake-front parks. Stop by Pier W and make sure to catch a view of Lake Erie.

Near West:

Hop on 90 East from Lakewood and head to the home of the West Side Market, Ohio City. Take a drive down the ever-popular West 25th steet, packed with young energy. Grab a pint at an iconic Cleveland brewery like Great Lakes Brewery and Market Garden. Head to the West bank of the flats and take in a view of downtown Cleveland.

Near East:

Head back onto 90 Eastbound and make a pit stop at Cleveland's iconic Martin Luther King Boulevard exit. Drive through the Cultural Gardens, circle through University Circle's robust display of museums, sculptures, lush parks and architectural marvels. From here, swing by Bratenahl or head even further east into the Cleveland Heights/Shaker Heights area.

East:

Driving through Shaker Heights, with it's winding roads surrounded by lush trees and dreamy tudor-style mansions, is like taking a trip through time. Whip around the Shaker Lakes and make sure to spend some time driving down roads like South Park, North Park, and Shaker Boulevard to see some of the area's more spectacular homes.

Far East:

From Shaker, head east on South Woodland until you reach Chagrin River Road. Parallel to the Chagrin River, you can head north to visit the charming town of Gates Mills or South to the Americana Chagrin Falls. On your way,  Chagrin River road will rope you around the Metroparks, through over bridges, until you hit the beautiful Chagrin Falls water falls and town center.
